Christmas… my favourite time of the year… I know it sounds very cliche, but I just love it, and it’s not only the gifts and the good food it’s just that the atmosphere and the people are a bit more loving and calm. Well, living in beautiful Brasov helps a lot cause this place is magical in every season but nothing compares to snowy Brasov… at least for me.

I know you guys must ‘ve heard of Gumroad by now and I’m very intrigued in trying it out, so I’m launching my first product on Gumroad. And because the holidays are sooo close, I will start with a theme project. And what is more awesome than a 3d Christmas themed project? So, you will be able to download a 3d model of a 3d wooden Christmas train that I built for the Waiting for Santa scene. You can get the 3d model and the 3d scene just by going to my Gumroad page here.

You can use the 3d christmas train model for your personal projects and even the commercial by purchasing the right license. I really hope you find it helpful in creating your 3d Christmas projects for your clients or for your personal projects or maybe you want to promote your business or website, or maybe you would love to share it with your loved ones.

The 3d model of the Christmas wooden train was entirely built in Maya, the train is a mixture of Polygons and Nurbs meshes, and all the textures are 100% procedural. I used mostly the 2D ramp. As you know by now it’s my favourite 2d texture in Maya. I have also uploaded the 3d model as an obj as well, so you will be able to use the 3d wooden train model in your favourite software like 3d max, blender, ZBrush, SketchUp, Modo. The obj version won’t be textured because all textures are procedural in Maya. Also, for the Maya version I have uploaded a 3d model of the train with shader ready for V-Ray for Maya.

Here are a couple of screenshots so you can check out the 3d model with shaders and wireframe. ENJOY!
